Cortuvo is the name of a character who makes a single appearance in the Season 3 episode Airwolf II (episode).

Biography[]

When Archangel gives Hawke a video which seems to show a Santini Air chopper taking part in a robbery of an armaments train, Hawke, Dominic and Caitlin bring the tape to Cortuvo to get it analysed to get to the truth of the matter. Hawke goes through the tape in great detail, looking for something but they don't know what. Dominic tells Caitlin they have been at it for "4 hours, 17 minutes and 36 seconds." He asks Caitlin if Cortuvo knows what he is doing. Yes, Caitlin says, he knows every move. She used to date him. "He never misses."

Hawke thinks he has found something and asks Cortuvo to zoom in. Cortuvo says if there's anything larger than an ant's behind, he can blow it up 1200 times. Caitlin says he has cleaned up his act because he never used to say behind.

The view is enlarged and Hawke sees something significant, or rather it is what he doesn't see which is important. There is no weld seam on the rear section of the chopper used in the robbery but the real Santini Air JetRanger has one.

Caitlin calls Cortuvo "Mel" but the first name of the character is not listed in the end credits.

Portrayed By[]

Cortuvo is played by David McBride.[1] Airwolf seems to be his only acting credit. He has a much more extensive string of credits as an artist and animator. McBride also appeared as an ATC representative in Flight 093 is Missing (episode).
